![]() Starting in 1907, you'll want to cover nation wide by 1909 and have the production to cover all demand. Where as in GC, little companies dent sales more, but there isn't any strong big companies to go up against.Ĥ) Expand rapidly. Ford only really had a hand full of big companies to compete with. Sales price should be around $250 in 1920.ģ) There is less competition in the game in terms of number of companies, however the smaller competition in the game is stronger than the real world. The core models however was the Sedan and the Phaeton, and these had roughly 5 minor revisions over the 19 year history.Ģ) You have to produce a lot to push the price down. There were around 15-20 different vehicle types. Spec wise it's easy, sales wise is a little more difficult.ġ) Model T is multiple vehicle types. The early game, normal mode, is modeled around Model T. Is the pricing historically accurate in this game? It is quite possible. Might be able to pull off some of the other vehicle types, but I wouldn't expect them to be best sellers, probably get really crap ratings in the specific type. I did manage to get like 6 factories up and running and selling all the vehicles by around 1905 though, then sales dipped, I panicked and built more branches, it didn't help, just increased cost, and that was that. My pickup truck model did really well, but I eventually overexpanded and trying to keep price low eventually distribution cost did me in right around 1907. it would get multiple bad marks in vehicle designer for performance for the chassis, motor probably not good enough fuel mileage for anything except trucks or performance, and gearbox, barely good enough for anything. So basically you are limited to performance or cargo type vehicles. The transmission is only suitable for anything that wants power or dependability, 2 gears isn't enough to get a good rating in performance or fuel. The motor is a not really good enough fuel mileage for anything that favors that, the chassis, kind of large and expensive for anything except cargo vehicles. Only problem is the build doesn't really seem to fit many vehicle types. I kept it a bit too simple in my save and ended up going broke before 1909, so I gotta start over, but so far it looks promising. If you make a straight 4 with 95.25 x 101.6mm it comes out to 2895cc so that is really close and exciting. I'm gonna start a new game in 1900 on nightmare/300 ai's and see how close I can get by 1910. If you wait until January of 1909, component cost almost will drop in half compared to 18 months prior. Not to mention there is a hiccup in the game that causes rampant inflation around 1907-1908 making it virtually impossible to make anything cheap then. For starters side cams do not exist in the game, and dohc is not available in 1907-1908 when you would need to be developing these. With all of that in mind, I don't think that is possible on the hard difficulties at least.
